Insects
HOME AND HOBBY
The collection of insects and other arthropods can be done a hobby but also for scientific study.
Because most insects are small and the majority cannot be identified without the examination of minute morphological characters, entomologists often make and maintain insect collections. Very large collections are conserved in natural history museums or universities where they are maintained and studied by specialists.
Q-scope now enables both amateur and professional users to observe, identify, register and share the smallest insects from their collection in greatest detail. With up to 200 times magnification identification is easier than before, and the result can directly be captured using Q-focus software. Measuring characteristic body parts, sending images to friends and colleagues and building a digital collection is all possible using Q-focus, which comes with the Q-scope digital microscope free of charge
